amenities - shops, pubs, restaurants, etc.

Portree is the capital of the Isle of Skye and is an excellent
base from which to tour the island. Within easy reach is some of the
most spectacular scenery in the Scottish Highlands, if not in
Europe, not least the famous Cuillin Hills which are so popular with
walkers and climbers from far and wide. |
